Yes, various studies have shown that weighted blankets help in easing anxiety in children as they provide stress relief, relaxation and deeper sleep.
Our blankets are suitable for children aged 3 years and over.
A weighted blanket can have a suffocation risk if the size is not appropriate for the child. The blanket should never restrain or restrict a child's movement, and they must be able to remove the blanket on their own to ensure their overall safety.
The blanket should be about 10% of your child's body weight for the best result & to ensure safety.
Our weighted blankets can be used for any child that is having trouble sleeping or in need of a better sleep technique. Our blanket is highly recommended for children who love hugs, who like to crawl under pillows, jump or bounce around or are simply restless. It's also very beneficial for children who suffer from stress, anxiety, autism or ADHD.
You sure can! We recommend machine washing our Blankease in a cold, gentle cycle, without bleach. The blanket should be hung to dry, not tumble dried.
This blanket should not be used on children under the age of 3. The blanket should sit below the shoulders and never cover the child's face or head. It is the responsibility of the caretaker to ensure the child is able to independently remove the blanket without any help. Consider consulting your GP if using alongside serious medical conditions. Please do not use the blanket near open flames. If it rips or starts leaking, dispose of it immediately. Do not ingest the beads. If you have any questions, please email us at info@blankease.com.
